Welcome to Rotherwood Gardening & Van Services. By booking any of our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
Please read them carefully before confirming your appointment.

1. About Us

Rotherwood Gardening & Van Services (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides gardening, property maintenance, and small van services across Poole, Bournemouth, Christchurch, and surrounding Dorset areas.

2. Services Provided

We offer:

• Garden maintenance and tidy-ups

• Garden clearances

• Pressure and power washing

• Gutter cleaning and roofline care

• Waste removal and tip runs (licensed waste carrier)

• Local deliveries and small removals

• Small handyman and maintenance jobs

Each job is quoted individually depending on location, access, time, and materials required.

3. Quotes and Pricing

• All quotes are free and without obligation.

• Prices are based on the information provided by the customer (e.g. photos, descriptions, or site visits).

• If the scope of work changes on arrival (e.g. larger area or additional waste), the price may be adjusted with your agreement before work begins.

• Quotes are valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise.

• Prices include labour, standard equipment, and removal of light garden waste (unless agreed otherwise).

4. Payments

• Payment is due on completion of the job unless agreed in advance.

• Accepted payment methods: bank transfer or cash.

• Invoices are available upon request.

• For larger jobs, a deposit may be required before starting work.

• Late payments may incur interest in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

• Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.

• Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a £25 charge to cover lost time.

• We reserve the right to reschedule due to unsafe weather conditions (heavy rain, high winds, etc.) or equipment failure.

6. Access and Safety

• Customers are responsible for ensuring safe access to the property and work area.

• Pets, children, and vehicles must be kept away from the work zone for safety reasons.

• For high or ladder-based work, we follow UK Health & Safety guidance.

• If the job cannot be carried out safely, we reserve the right to postpone or refuse the work.

7. Waste Removal

• We hold a Valid Waste Carrier Licence for legal disposal of green and domestic waste.

• Hazardous waste (asbestos, chemicals, paint, etc.) is not accepted.

• Waste is disposed of at approved Dorset recycling or waste centres.

8. Property Care

• Every effort is made to protect lawns, driveways, and property during work.

• However, Rotherwood Gardening cannot be held liable for damage caused by pre-existing defects, poor access, or customer-supplied materials.

• Customers should move fragile or valuable items before work begins.

9. Insurance

Rotherwood Gardening & Van Services carries Public Liability Insurance for your peace of mind. Proof can be provided on request.

10. Complaints

If you are not fully satisfied, please contact us within 48 hours of job completion.
We will always aim to resolve issues fairly and quickly.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law.
Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
